Villa Las Terrazas is a rustic 3 bed/3 bath villa. The size, outdoor space, pool and additional casita in the grounds make it a perfect family summer rental. Don't be fooled by the approach, once behind the gate you are surrounded by 11,500 sqm of lush, private gardens. These gardens are full of fragrant mimosa, arum lilies and fruit trees.

The 3 beds can become 4 with the option of the casita, which stands alone in the grounds. A perfect self-catering addition for either a couple in the group who want some privacy or a family with a young baby who have more 'vocal nights' (a monitor signal can carry to the house).

The grounds are spread over a series of terraces, the stunning view to Morocco always in the visual backdrop. When the summer crowds and strong Levante wind steal the day, you can retreat to the peace and calm of the spring fed pool. The deep pool is high in the grounds and has plenty of shade and the ancient cork trees frame a breathtaking view of the imposing Rif Mountains across the Straits.

The ever changing palette of light and colour is an inspiring subject for artists and nature lovers, while the extensive grounds offer a fantasy world of outdoor play for kids.

Food lovers will be set here. A ten minute ride to Tarifa opens the door to some of the delicious tapas bars and ten minutes in the other direction, the bustling daily Algeciras market is laden with local produce from land & sea. Seasonal vegetables, Moroccan pastries, freshly caught tuna and speciality jamons are a few of the culinary delights on offer.

The house is over 100 years old and is full of original features, handmade floor tiles, scalloped ceilings and thick walls which keep the house cool in summer. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave and two fridges.

The outside terrace becomes the hub for socialising, long lunches in the shade and balmy evenings spent with friends – eat, drink and be merry.

There are two double bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, which have been furnished in a simple and comfortable manner, calm colours, soft fabrics, crisp bed linen and traditional furniture. The third bedroom, which is upstairs, is for children and consists of bunk beds and a cot if required. All of the water supplied to the house is freshly drawn from our own spring. The two upstairs bedrooms have beautiful views, and all have en-suite bathrooms.
