This is a former shepherds' house of more than 200 years old, completely restored but retaining certain original features (in one of the 4 bathrooms there is still an old, natural stone bread oven).

The house is well furnished throughout, offers a high level of comfort and can accommodate 8 persons. Rustic in style, beamed ceilings and partly open-plan. There are two living areas, four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven and the necessary kitchen and table ware. There is an open fireplace, satellite-TV, DVD and music equipment.

A central patio with lots of plants gives additional light to the interior of the house. From the large gardens you have impressive views over the countryside, the Atlantic and across to the coast of Morocco.

Nearby are the ancient Roman ruins of Bolonia, a wonderful bay for swimming, and beach restaurants. The best surfing beaches are also very nearby in the other direction, just beyond Punta Paloma with its enormous sand dunes.

An unpaved road (300 metres) leads to this villa in a unique position in the Natural Park El Estrecho in the the small hamlet of Betis which falls within the municipality of Tarifa and (of course, depending on traffic) is only a 7 minute drive from the town.
