Punta Sur was at the heart of our wedding in May (organised by Jolanda; look for more info on her website www.wedding-in-tarifa.com). Not only did we spend four wonderful nights in the sublime Bali suite, but a large number of our friends had rooms there, too, and without fail they all said how lovely and how relaxed everything was. Most of them did not want to leave. Many are planning to return which speaks volumes about the hotel.

Punta Sur is the eptiome of Tarifa: laid back but sophisticated, with lush gardens, beautifully tiled rooms, with eccentric artwork, vocal peacocks and enough turtles to keep the children captivated. When they are not in the fantastic swimming pool.
My one, very minor complaint, was that dirty glasses and empty bottles were not always cleared out of the room by the cleaners but amidst the euphoria of the occasion, that was a small niggle.

We had stayed at Punta Sur the previous year and if anything the restaurant has become even better, (try the beef cooked in a casing of salt.It is their signature dish) and the staff spoke slightly more English. Twice we turned up with far more people than we had booked a table for and both times they accommodated us with charm and an enormous amount of patience.

But best of all was the Bali suite with its dark stained wooden floors and furniture and a four poster bed draped in muslin, two bathrooms, a dressingroom and a livingroom and an outdoor shower looking over Morocco.
What more could you want?

We allready been twice to Punta Sur. In 2006 we stayed there with our daugther (3 years old). We had a nice room.

Our daughter loved the birds they have and the little ducks. De food is very good. Only the flies at breakfast are irritating.

The service is very good. They are all nice and friendly.

It is nearby the windsurf station. It is best to hire a car. Than you can visit Tarifa centre, a very nice place to stay!

We will come back!
