Tarifa is the most southern point of continental Europe and also the crossroad of the Mediterranean and Atlantic Ocean. The hotel is located about 6 km west of Tarifa, in the middle of the bay on the beach with views to Africa. The stables are located directly beside the hotel. From here you start at the most beautiful beaches of the Costa de la Luz and in the protected areas in the inlands.

The accommodation and catering: During the ride you consistently stay in Beach Hotel Hurricane. This saves you the hassle of packing suitcases. The beautiful Hotel Hurricane is open all year and is right on the beach. The hotel has 2 pool and offers in winter a sauna and fitness room.

In the event that the Hurricane Hotel is fully booked, we reserve in Hotel Punta Sur. This is just 500 meters from the Hotel Hurricane and the stables.
On the Trail, enjoy a picnic lunch out of the saddle bags, evening drive back to the hotel. On this way you have still time to see some of the many opportunities in and around Tarifa. You can eat very well in the hotel or in Tarifa. There are numerous restaurants with Spanish and International cuisine.

Riding program

Day 1. Day of arrival

Day 2. Ride home from the barn (Hotel Hurricane) to Tarifa through the Parque Natural del Estrecho. A mile-long coastal path leads through the nature reserve to the Straits of Gibraltar, you will pass small coves and cliffs. You encounter cattle, horses and goats and enjoy the breathtaking view of Africa. The horses stay in a small village near the beach, while you go back to the hotel.

Day 3. Today you ride over old cattle drive routes and large cattle pastures into the mountainous inlands and through the Parque Natural de los Alcornocales with beautiful cork oak forests. The horses leave overnight on a farm in the park. You will return to the hotel.

Day 4. From the finca in the valley we ride till above 700 meters above sea level up to a mountain ridge. On the ride towards Facinas. The landscape varies from wild cork oak forests on steep rocky landscapes with eagles nests high above you When the evening is falling we arrive again in populated area. The horses stay at a farm and you go back one last time to the hotel.

Day 5. Today you ride through shady pine and Eucalyptus forests over rocky paths and rivers and finally to broad meadows back towards the beach and home stable.

Day 6. Finally, you can expect a large beach ride. Galloping along the virgin beaches and you might even go swimming with your horse.
