"El Cancho", Spanish for rock outcrop, is named for the razor ridge outcrops that run through the property. This property provides a secluded and peaceful hideaway for those looking for a special place. There are spectacular views of both the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, native pine forests, rock outcrops and Africa/Morocco.

This Beach house is perfect for a romantic getaway or for a small group of friends. It has spectacular ocean views across the Moroccan coast and mountain views of the Natural Park (of which the house is situated within).

The house is referred to as a beach house because of its design, but is in fact situated 250 metres from the beach above the Hurricane Hotel. El Cancho provides a wonderfully secluded hideaway within the natural park yet a stones throw from the excitements of Tarifa town 3 km away. You enter the property via a slightly treacherous single-track road, a steep climb although there is also a scenic route down to the beach through the natural park however we highly recommend that you hire a car.

You will feel at one with the nature surrounding you - the house is secluded, yet not cut off from civilization.
There are 2
houses on the same plot though their location at either end of a
one hectare plot within the Natural Park affords total solitude
for sunbathing on the terraces.
While the houses may be new builds, this is a real back to nature experience, with real eco-friendly ideals. Solar panels (photovoltaic) provide electricity for lighting and power, whilst gas heats water directly from the mountain spring. The building’s passive solar design makes the most of winter sun, and shades the rooms in the height of the summer. We are wholly dependent on natural energies, so currently without sunshine you may find yourself without power. However what we can promise is a limitless supply of tea lights and twinkling stars!

This is a rare opportunity to experience forward-looking living in a blissful setting where the local farmer still herds his goats around the hillside. To add to the adventure parking is 30 to 100 metres from the houses; over a small bridge and running stream, and then a short, stunning walk down to the houses.

The house is “green” producing electricity via solar panels and using spring water from the mountains above. Spring brings a wash of wild flowers across the property. If you’re lucky, you will hear the enchanting sounds of the goat bells and the herders still roam the natural park grazing.

The wooden house has open plan living and comfortable and modern furnishing. The house sleeps 2-4 people (2 double beds) with cots available. The bathroom has a hot water shower (gas fuelled) and there is also an outdoor shower for the more hardy naturalists, which children seem to love.

Cancho at time of stay in CASH only. Details will be provided in

For all cancellations, the initial 20% deposit is non-refundable. In addition, for any cancellations less than 40 days prior to arrival: an additional charge of 40% of the stay booked will be made to your credit card by El Cancho. In the event of premature departure full extent of the stay, as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged. |
